Supporting the people of Haiti

If you are planning to use your MBNA credit card to make a donation to the Haiti Disaster relief effort, then every penny of your donation will be helping those in most need.

MBNA, a Bank of America company, is going to make sure that 100% of all donations made online, using an MBNA card, on or before the 31st March 2010, will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee in aid of the people of Haiti. When you pay by credit card the charity will be charged a processing fee. In this case, MBNA will donate an amount equivalent to the fee so the charity will receive 100% of your donation.

The decision is aimed at supporting the worldwide fundraising campaign and is in addition to Bank of America’s $1million donation to the cause, supporting tens of thousands of Haitian people.

Please note: the above only applies to donations made online to the Disasters Emergency Committee using the MBNA credit card. It does not apply to donations made by any other means or for any other cause and does not affect usual account charges such as interest, which will be payable as usual in accordance with applicable credit agreements.
